BestGirlfriends is a set of static files. There is no account, no login, no newsletter, no comment box and no shopping basket, so there is nothing here for you to hand over and nothing for us to store about you. This page describes the little that does happen.

What we do not do

• No third-party analytics, no tag manager, no pixel, and no session recording: your screen is never captured and no replay of your visit is kept. We do count page views, where you click and how far you scroll. The counter is ours: it runs on our own server, and the request that carries it goes to this domain and comes back from it. Nothing about your visit reaches Google or any other company. What that counter keeps is set out below.
• No third-party ad network and no behavioural profiling. The homepage does carry sponsored slots, but we fill them ourselves, from this domain. What they show depends on the page, the width of your screen and the country you connect from, never on what you browsed. How they work is below.
• No cookie set by us, and no tracking identifier. This site writes three things to your browser: your answer to the age check, the moment the offer banner countdown started, and whether you closed that banner. There is one exception, and you will probably never meet it. If your browser refuses to keep your age-check answer, a sponsored slot with adult artwork stays blurred until you tap it, and that tap is noted for the current tab only, gone when you close it. None of these identifies you, and none is ever sent anywhere.
• No account, so no name, email address or payment detail is ever requested.

The visit counter

This site counts its own page views, on its own server, using open-source software. For each view it keeps the page you looked at, the site you arrived from, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address at the moment of the request.

Your IP address is never stored, and neither is your browser's full user-agent string. It also keeps the position of your clicks and how far down each page you scroll, aggregated into a heat map so we can see which parts of the page are actually read. The counter writes nothing to your browser: it sets no cookie and leaves nothing behind on your device, which is why it has no place in the list above. This site carries no consent banner: nothing it records identifies you, and what it keeps on your device is listed above in full.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the counter ignores you entirely. A tracker-blocking extension stops it as well, and nothing on this site breaks when it does.

The sponsored slots

The homepage has a few spaces, each labelled Sponsored (up to four, depending on the width of your screen), that show an offer from our own affiliate catalogue. The offer, its artwork and the click all go through this domain: while you read, nothing is loaded from the advertiser or from an ad network, and nothing about you is handed to either.

To choose which offers are allowed where you are, our server reads the country your request comes from, which our network provider adds to it. It serves that choice and never enters the counts. To count what was shown, what was actually seen and what was clicked, the page sends back the slot, the offer, which artwork and size it used, the page language and a rough screen class (phone, tablet or desktop), tied together by a random identifier that dies with the page. Those counts hold no IP address, no browser string and no cookie, nothing is counted until you have answered the age check, and since nothing in them points to a person they are kept with no set end date.

Clicking an offer takes you through a redirect on this domain to the advertiser. From there, as with every other link out, their privacy policy applies, and their affiliate program may set a cookie of its own.

What is logged

This site sits behind a content delivery network and a web server, and both keep ordinary request logs: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. That is how any website on the internet stays online and defends itself against abuse. Those logs are retained for a short operating window and are used for security and for counting traffic in aggregate, never to build a profile of an individual visitor.

The network may set a cookie of its own to distinguish humans from automated traffic. That is a security function of the network rather than a choice of ours, and it carries no marketing identifier.

Fonts and assets

Every font, stylesheet and image used by this site is served from this domain. Nothing is fetched from a third-party host while you read a page, so simply reading the directory sends your IP address to nobody except this site and its network provider.

What happens when you follow a link out

Outbound links to the sites in the directory pass through an affiliate network before arriving at their destination, and the sponsored slots pass through their advertiser's affiliate program. That step records the click and attributes it to us, and it may set a cookie in your browser belonging to the destination or its network. From the moment you leave this page you are covered by the privacy policy of wherever you have landed, not by this one. Every destination in this directory is an adult site and several of them require age verification.

If you would rather not pass through that step, every site in the directory can be reached by typing its own address into your browser. Nothing on this site is gated behind our links.

Children

This site is for adults, 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone. It carries the RTA label, so parental control software can block it on sight.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent laws you may ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and complain to your supervisory authority. In practice we hold no personal data about you beyond the short-lived server logs described above, and those are not indexed by identity, so a request will usually be answered by telling you exactly that. Write to [email protected] and you will get a reply.

Changes

If this policy changes, the review date at the top changes with it. We do not maintain a mailing list, so there is nowhere to notify you and no reason to pretend otherwise.
